FAQs

Q: How does it work?

A: The patent pending design of the Sk8 Lock has a closed loop at one end and at the other end is a loop with the combination lock in it.  Place it around a stationary object and put the combination end through the closed loop and secure it around your skateboard, hoverboard, bicycle, or any other item you wish to secure.

Q: Can I change the combination to something I can remember easily?

A: Yes!  The combination on your Sk8 Lock can be set to any easy to remember 4 digit combination.

Q: Is it easy to carry?

A: Yes! It is self coiling and weighs less than a pound so you can easily put it in your backpack or pocket.

Q: I normally just carry my skateboard with me.  Why do I need this?

A: Why do you carry your skateboard with you? So nobody steals it, right?  This allows you to secure it without having to carry it everywhere.  Many stores and schools do not allow skateboards inside.

Q: Do I need to make any modifications to my skateboard?

A: No! This lock works on almost any skateboard with zero modifications.

Q: Does the same lock work on multiple items?

A: Yes!  The same lock will work on your skateboard, hoverboard, bike, ripstick, scooter, or whatever else you would like to lock up.

Q: Can't someone just cut the cable or unbolt the chuck and still steal it?

A: Unfortunately, yes they can.  However, most thefts are the crime of easy opportunity.  When something is left unattended where a thief can easily grab it and run is when most thefts happen.  There is nothing that can guarantee 100% that your item will not get stolen, but this will deter most thieves.  It's just like locking your car doors even though someone could easily break the window and grab your belongings from inside.
